WHY ARE MUSIC AND THE ARTS IMPORTANT! Our society as a whole needs to police itself. The government cannot be trusted to provide good leadership here. Artists are now taking it on themselves, doing crowd funding and many other avenues to conduct business. Do not discourage artists from pursuing whatever they need to keep culture alive. The next time you look down upon an artist for crowd funding or asking you to purchase music, see them live, or share their art form, remember.....Do we want a society without music,culture and art? Or are we content to let our children slip into a never ending electronic world of make believe!!!!
